Bayern Munich knock on AC Milan door for star defender
AC Milan have received an approach for Theo Hernandez form Bayern Munich who looking to replace his brother Lucas.
Many clubs are not waiting the end of the season to start moving on the transfer market. AC Milan are very active and currently in advanced negotiations for Daichi Kamada and Ruben Loftus-Cheek. At the same time, the Rossoneri have received interest for some of their player including a surprising approach for Theo Hernandez.
Journalist Carlo Pellegatti reports that Bayern Munich have knocked on AC Milan door with the intention to purchase Theo Hernandez this summer. It was an unexpected request for the Rossoneri management who had made it clear in the past that they consider the 25-year-old an untouchable player of their squad.
Bayern Munich are on the market to sign a new left-back this summer. Theo’s brother, Lucas Hernandez, has reportedly refused to extend his contract with the German club and is set for a sensational transfer to Paris Saint-Germain this summer. Lucas Hernandez is the most expensive signing in the history of Bayern Munich following his €80 million transfer from Atletico Madrid.
Despite the noisy knock of Bayern Munich, AC Milan have refused to open the door. The Rossoneri have made it clear that Theo Hernandez is not for sale no matter the price. Stefano Pioli and Paolo Maldini consider him a key player of the squad. A player of his abilities and characteristics would be very difficult to replace.
Theo Hernandez has made 43 appearances across all competitions this season. The France international has been ever present scoring4 goals and providing 5 assists. AC Milan had a great run in the Champions League but their form in Serie A was underwhelming, Thankfully, the Rossoneri are close to securing a place in the top four and Champions League football for next season.
